Can I still get insurance if I have a DUI?

Yes.  Here at Valley Insurance Center, we help all sorts of drivers find coverage. As one of the larger Insurance Brokers we have several different tiers of coverage with multiple insurance carriers. For instance, you can qualify for a top rated company with up to 2 accidents and one major moving violation, such as a DUI. Even if that major violation happened within the last 35 months.

Just give us a call– we will be glad to help place your coverage. Any of our local offices can assist in placing insurance in any of our states.

Typically, if someone has (3) vehicles on one policy but yet has only one named insured the alarm bells begin to ring with the underwriting insurance company. In theory, people who own (3) cars will have at least one other individual living in their home in which the insurance company will want to rate for a driving record.

People will also try to lower their premiums by not telling the agent about someone who will be driving who has a poor driving record.

They further understand that even if you are ‘by yourself’ there might come a time when a family member, neighbor or good friend has car trouble then you will be the first person that is contacted increasing exposure.

Warrenton Baptist Church credit: Peyton KnightMany people volunteer to do work for their church using their own car or truck. What you should know is that if you are involved in an accident the Church would be protected by your policy up to the limits of liability.  Now this does not mean that the church would not be subject to a lawsuit. Mostly it depends on the severity of the accident and how many people are involved.
